Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash biopic to be released

A biopic about Lynyrd Skynyrd and the plane crash that tragically killed Ronnie Van Zandt and other original members is coming this month. Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash will be released on Blue-ray and video on demand June 30th.

The story is being told by Artimus Pyle, the band’s former drummer who survived the crash, who acted as an advisor but also contributed music to the film. The latter part is of note because the production is not sanctioned by the band. And none of the music of Lynyrd Skynyrd is allowed to be used in the film.
