Metallica may be one the greatest rock bands of all time, and you’ve probably already grabbed some Blackened Whiskey and a “Seek and Destroy” watch, but the next great Metallica piece of memorabilia is about to drop.
Hi-end collectible company Knuckle Bonz is releasing hyper-realistic 1/9th scale models of the four members. Dropping in early 2021, only 3,000 of these statuettes will be made, each of which painstakingly handcrafted, painted and numbered. These “Hardwired…To Self Destruct” era figures are truly works of art and a must-have for die-hard fans. They will stand 8.5″H x 8″W x 7″D.
Knuckle Bonz has several licensed products and limited collectible items from some of the biggest names in rock, including Ozzy, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, and many, many more, each more iconic than the last.
However, this level of quality comes at a cost. The full set, part of their Rock Iconz line, consists of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo and will set you back $536, though after shipping you’ll be nearly $600 in the red. If this is a little steep for your taste and just want to rep your favorite member, each figure will be available separately for $149 ($175 with shipping and tax.)
Though you might be quite in the red after this purchase, you will also certainly be fading to black with your new one-of-a-kind collector’s item.
