Peter Frampton and the Doobie Brothers Cover Eric Clapton


Who says getting together to jam is impossible during a pandemic? Peter Frampton and the Doobie Brothers collaborated virtually to cover Eric Clapton. Cover Clapton’s 1970 song “Let It Rain,” Frampton and each member of the Doobie Brothers recorded their tracks individually in isolation. After talking with Frampton about a collaboration, Tom Johnston of the Doobie Brothers suggested “Let it Rain.” Frampton loved the idea. Frampton told Rolling Stone that the experience was fun and looks forward to playing with the Doobies in person.
