There are plenty of talent search shows on TV, but nothing quite like this. No Cover will be looking for songwriters of original music. Hence the name…No Covers. With some big names in rock involved, No Cover is looking like an alternative to your typical talent search shows. Signing on as judges for No Cover are Alice Cooper, Bishop Briggs, Lzzy Hale from Halestorm, and Gavin Rossdale of Bush. The winning artist or band will receive a six-figure deal with Sumerian Records, which has Smashing Pumpkins and Asking Alexandria on its roster. Cooper says. “To me, a band really isn’t a band unless they are writing their own material,” Cooper says. “I’m looking for the band who has it all — the one who can not only write it and play it, but perform it and make me believe it.”
