We’d all like to take a break, right? Even Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers has considered stepping away from a pretty great gig. Talking with The Guardian, Flea admits that there have been times that he has considered walking away as bassist for Red Hot Chili Peppers. Flea admitted, “I’ve been up and down about the band so many times,” but also says he ultimately sticks around when a great song or show is played. Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently in the process of working on new music for a followup to 2016’s The Getaway.

Do you think the Chili Peppers would continue without Flea? Has a band gotten better after a key member left? What is your favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers song?
