What do Joe Walsh, Lita Ford, & RoboCop Have in Common?

Here’s a bit of 90’s history you may not know – fans of Joe Walsh and the Eagles may not even know this!

Back in 1994, Joe Walsh and Lita Ford (from the Runaways) wrote the theme song for the Canadian TV show, RoboCop! The song is called “Future to This Life,” and you can listen to it above. The series only lasted one year, and although a video for the song was never released, there is a compilation of clips from the video shoot that are worth watching on YouTube here. The song feels more like a cut from the 80’s, and you can definitely hear some classic Joe guitar moments. Walsh commented about the track, “I like the song. I like things that nobody would think of or put together.” At the same time the RoboCop song was released, the Eagles were in the middle of their legendary ’94 Hell Freezes Over tour, selling out stadiums around the world.
