The coronavirus pandemic canceled countless events in 2020, including the highly anticipated Fourth of July celebrations. As Independence Day rolls around one year later, many California counties will bring back holiday celebrations.
San Francisco Mayor London Breed announced a firework show will return to the City after cancelling them last year.

“The state strongly recommends that anyone planning to attend the Fourth of July fireworks be fully vaccinated, obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to attending the event, or wear a face covering.” Said in a press release from the county of San Francisco.
Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf shared Oakland’s temporary measures to enjoy Fourth of July festivities safely.
