Gene Simmons Avoids ‘Spinal Tap Moment’ Onstage

YouTube, @Adam Stuart.

Gene Simmons managed to narrowly avoid a Spinal Tapmoment onstage over the weekend in Tampa.

Simmons and his bandmates were descending from floating platforms during opening number “Detroit Rock City”, when Simmons’ platform suddenly went off-kilter.

The 72-year-old Simmons struggled to keep his balance – especially wearing a heavy costume with giant platform shoes.

Fortunately, he was able to avoid a fall – and fortunately for the rest of us, the whole snafu was caught on video.

KISS recently resumed their End Of The Road farewell tour, which is currently scheduled to end in early 2023.

Ever witness a ‘Spinal Tap moment’ during a concert?  Who was the band and what happened?
