Mötley Crüe have confirmed that Vince Neil broke “a few ribs” after he fell from the stage during a solo gig last Friday.

Neil had been performing with his band at the Monsters on the Mountain Festival in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee when he fell in a small gap between the stage and a speaker.

Neil was unable to continue performing and was taken to the hospital. The official Motley Crue Twitter account posted that the singer is “back home and resting after breaking a few ribs on Friday night.”

The message added, “Our love and best wishes for a speedy recovery.”

Have you ever broken a rib (or several)? What happened?
