Lost Beatles Song Featuring George and Ringo Surfaces

YouTube, @Jon F.

It’s been more than 51 years since the Beatles broke up — yet they’re about to release a new song regardless.

“Radhe Shaam,” a song written by journalist Suresh Joshi, was recorded by George Harrison and Ringo Starr in 1968, after which the master tape was left in Joshi’s loft. Since then, “it was lost and found many times,” Joshi says. “We didn’t have the chance to release it.”

Until now. Joshi says he’s working out a deal to release the track with all proceeds going to charity. “Leave it to humanity, that’s what George wanted to do,” Joshi says. “I hope the fans will love it.”

Is there usually a reason previously unreleased tracks weren’t released?
