Don McLean’s ‘American Pie’ album came out in 1971.
In honor of the record’s 50th anniversary, McLean has shared an official lyric video for the title track.
The video features the original 1971 sheet music for the song, right down to the correct abbreviations and punctuation.
McLean will be doing a big 50th-anniversary tour in 2022.
