Slash, Zakk Wylde, And More Pay Tribute To Mountain’s Leslie West

Slash, Zakk Wylde, and many more guitar legends will be part of a new tribute album honoring late Mountain guitarist Leslie West.

Legacy: A Tribute to Leslie West will be released in March – with the first single, Wylde’s cover of “Blood of the Sun”, out now.

Other tracks include Slash tackling “Mississipi Queen” and Dee Snider covering “Theme for an Imaginary Western”.

The tribute album was already in the works – with plans for West himself to record a few guitar solos – when he died in December 2020 at the age of 75.

Why doesn’t Leslie West get more credit as one of the great rock guitarists?
