When it comes to what Mike McGlinchey is asking Santa for this year, the 49ers offensive lineman only has one thing on his list.

“A new quad tendon,” McGlinchey told Lamont & Tonelli on 107.7 The Bone Thursday morning.

McGlinchey is still in the early process of his rehab but says things are going smoothly. For now, McGlinchey is just looking forward to the holidays. Christmas will be a crazy time in the McGlinchey household, considering he’ll have eight members of his immediate family staying with him through the new year.

“I know my family is going to come out,” McGlinchey said. “My mom, dad and siblings and all that. We’ve got to figure out when they are getting into town still, and they’ll stay through the New Year. It will be good to get my family out here from the East Coast.

“I grew up in a crazy household, so I’ve had more than eight people here for periods of time. I’m used to it, I actually prefer it that way. I prefer it being loud around the house. That’s the way I grew up and that’s the way I want to keep it.”
