Tony Iommi says he’s ‘Open’ to a Black Sabbath Reunion

When it comes to the possibility of reuniting with his former Black Sabbath bandmates, Tony Iommi says, “Never say never.”

The guitarist makes the revelation in a new Planet Rock interview, saying there have been several previous occasions in which the band has done an about-face. “We’ve known in this band you can never say, ‘That’s never gonna happen again,’ because every time we said that, it has,” Iommi says. “We never thought we’d get back with Ozzy after the early years. We never thought we’d get back with Ronnie James Dio again; we did. We never thought we’d have Ian Gillan in the band, but we did. So you just can’t say it’s never gonna happen.”

The members of Black Sabbath last performed together in February 2017, when they wrapped up their farewell tour, which was dubbed “The End.”

How psyched would you be for another Black Sabbath reunion? Or are they too old to recapture the magic?
