A lot of times when you’re the bassist of a huge band, you sometimes get put to the wayside, but this is not the case anymore for Michael Anthony. From a recent performance in Las Vegas, Van Halen fans got a treat when Sammy Hagar and his band the Circle performed two Van Halen classics, where Anthony took center stage to sing!

The latest Hagar and Friends show, featuring Anthony from Hagar’s band the Circle, included renditions of “Runnin’ With the Devil” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love,” which can be seen below. As Anthony delivers lighthearted renditions of the songs, encouraging the crowd to join in, Hagar acts as cheerleader and backing vocalist for his former Van Halen bandmate. Sammy has often argued that Anthony’s vocal contribution to Van Halen has been undervalued.
