Georgia Man Busted For Spending $57K Of COVID Relief Funds On Pokemon Card

A Georgia man has been sentenced to 36 months in federal prison for using COVID-19 government relief money to purchase a rare $57,789 Pokémon card. Vinath Oudomsine made false statements about the number of employees at his company and his company’s gross revenue when he applied for small business aid through the CARES Act in July 2020. His sentence includes payment of $85,000 in restitution. And here to comment on this story is a Pokemon superfan.
