Slipknot and Machine Gun Kelly don’t exactly like each other (to say the least), but they do have one thing in common – they are both among the Top 50 artists who swear in their songs.

Lottie.org surveyed thousands of songs from the 1950s through the 2010s across various genres.

Getting into specifics, “sh*t* was the most commonly used swear word in songs in the 2010s, followed by “b*tch” and “hell.”

Lil Wayne was ranked the No. 1 artist who uses curse words in their lyrics followed by Jeezy/Young Jeezy at No. 2 and Johnny Cash at No. 3.

No rock or metal artists made their way into the Top 10, but Slipknot ranked No. 33 while MGK was listed at No. 41.
