The lead singer of the Black Dahlia Murder has died at the age of 41. Trevor Strnad, who is one of the co-founders of the band, is described ,as in an article from the website “Metal Sucks”, “was an amazing lyricist, and a diehard believer in death metal, and one of the most ardent defenders of the faith”.

On the band’s social media handles, they posted a blacked-out screen with the caption “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Scott Strnad. Beloved son, brother, and Shepard of good times, he was loved by all that met him. A walking encyclopedia of all things music. He was a hugger, a writer, and truly one of the world’s greatest entertainers. His lyrics provided the world with stories and spells and horror and whimsy. It was his life to be your show.”

Though there is no word on what the cause of death was, it is unfortunate to assume with the addition of the National Suicide Prevention hotline that Strnad unfortunately took his own life.
