The most emotional moment from Saturday’s tribute concert to Taylor Hawkins came as the Foo Fighters opened their set with “Times Like These”.

Dave Grohl broke down in tears while choking out the line “It’s times like these you learn to live again”.

At the end of an 11-song set with a rotating cast of guest drummers, Grohl chose to close out the show solo, performing “Everlong” on an empty stage.

It was the first time Foo Fighters ever performed on stage without Hawkins, who died unexpectedly in March at the age of 50.
