Depeche Mode announced a new album on Tuesday!
Members Dave Gahan and Martin Gore shared the announcement of their 15th album “Memento Mori.”
“The direct translation [for ‘memento mori’] is, ‘Remember that you must die,’” Gahan told Rolling Stone. “A lot of the songs are going into that place of reminding ourselves that our time is fleeting, and you got to make the best of it — in a positive way.”
This will be the first album recorded by Depeche Mode since the passing of co-founder Andy Fletcher.
“Memento Mori” will be out next Spring, along with a North American tour that will stop off at San Jose’s own SAP Center on March 25, 2023. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, October 7th.
