Journey Members Are Suing Each Other Again

Once again, the members of Journey are engaging in their favorite pastime – suing each other.

Guitarist Neal Schon has filed a cease-and-desist order against Jonathan Cain after the keyboardist performed “Don’t Stop Believin'” at a Trump event at Mar-a-Lago last month.

Schon claims Cain is damaging the Journey brand and polarizing the fan base: “Mr. Cain has no right to use Journey for politics. His politics should be his own personal business.”

It’s not the only legal battle going on – earlier this year, Schon sued Cain over access to a band credit card. After Schon filed a lawsuit against Cain, claiming the keyboardist had set up a secret American Express account to give himself access to “millions of Journey funds,” Cain fired back.

In a statement, Cain says Schon’s lawsuit is filled with “malicious lies and personal attacks” – and claims he was forced to take control of the situation because of the guitarist’s “reckless spending.”

Despite the legal battles, Schon says the lawsuits will not break up the band.
