Dave Grohl’s proudest musical achievement? It’s not going platinum, playing a sold-out stadium, or even winning a Grammy – it’s getting covered by Prince during the Super Bowl.

Three years ago, Grohl wrote about the time Prince played the Foo Fighters song “Best Of You” during the Super Bowl XLI halftime show in 2007.

He wrote on his blog ‘Dave’s True Stories’: “I ran to my computer, found it online and hit play. I was stunned. In shock… I was watching the greatest living performer known to man sing my song to 100 million people as if it were his own”.

Grohl says “I realized that this was without a doubt my proudest musical achievement.”
