Pete Townshend to Release First Solo Single in 29 Years

The Who’s Pete Townshend is going solo for the first time in nearly 30 years.

The guitarist will release the solo single “Can’t Outrun The Truth” on March 24th.

The song was written by his wife Rachel Fuller, and was inspired by the pandemic lockdown. A music video – Townshend’s first in 40 years – will also be released.

Proceeds from “Can’t Outrun The Truth” will benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust. Pre-order the digital single here.

What was your ‘pandemic project’? Did you keep up with it after the lockdown?
