Guitar goddess Nita Strauss has a new single featuring a guest vocal from her boss, Alice Cooper.
Cooper sings lead on “Winner Takes All“, which was released to digital platforms on Wednesday.
Strauss says the track will appear on her upcoming album, and called it “an honor” to work with “my longtime boss and friend, the legendary Alice Cooper”.
Strauss recently returned to Cooper’s live band after briefly leaving to tour with pop star Demi Lovato.
“She’s Back!” Cooper announced in a press release. “Nita asked for a leave of absence to work with someone else, something I always encourage my band members to do. I like them to challenge themselves and try new things. I’m thankful to my old friend Kane Roberts for stepping up and filling in for her, but she’ll be back with us for the new tour that starts up in late April. It’s going to be great to have her back.”
Cooper and Strauss will be very busy in 2023 – Cooper’s ‘Too Close For Comfort’ tour kicks off in April, followed by a string of dates opening for Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, and finally a co-headlining tour with Rob Zombie.
