Sammy Hagar is promising to do more Van Halen songs in his upcoming shows with the Circle.

In a new interview, Hagar explained, “Michael [Anthony] and I will feature what we call, ‘The Other Half,’ with a lot more Van Halen, even a few early songs. It makes all the sense in the world [since] there is no one out there supporting the Van Halen catalog, which has some of the greatest rock songs ever written.”

The Circle features Hagar’s Van Halen bandmate Michael Anthony on bass, drummer Jason Bonham, and guitarist Vic Johnson.

Discussing his upcoming performances, Hagar explained, “This won’t be that much different than the shows from the residency at The Strat…Because no matter where I play, or with whom, I throw a party.”

Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 31st, at 10 am local time.
