Ace Frehley Close to Wrapping up New Album

Ace Frehley says he recently experienced a creative surge – and now his new album is about one week away from being finished.

“I did a two-week tour of California, which was eight sold-out shows,” the former KISS guitarist says.

“And I came back, took a week off just to rest and recuperate, and I started getting in the studio. And within six days I had written and recorded five new songs, which is unprecedented for me. So right now it looks like the album’s gonna be completed — not mixed but recorded — probably in another week.”

Although the as-yet-untitled album will follow Origins Volume 2, which was a collection of covers, officially it will be the follow-up to 2018’s Spaceman. A release date has not yet been announced.
