Sharon Osbourne is giving fans another update on Ozzy.
In a new interview, The Prince of Darkness’ wife and manager explained, “He misses the live audience, he misses his fans terribly. He feels he’s let them down. Performing is what he is born to do.”
She went on to say, “Ozzy says to me that he can’t do anything as good as performing. I get heart-broken when I hear him say that and knowing he cannot go out and do what he is meant to do.”
In January, Ozzy announced he was canceling all upcoming shows and retiring from touring due to years of medical issues. After announcing he will no longer tour due to his diagnosis, Ozzy then said he’s, “Been working [his] guts out to try and get back “to touring shape.”
“So, if I can ever get back to where I can tour again, fine. But right now, if you said to me, ‘Can you go on the road in a month?’ I couldn’t say yes. I mean, if I could tour, I’d tour.” Ozzy continued, “But right now I can’t book tours because right now I don’t think I could pull them off.”
Despite his struggle with Parkinson’s disease, he is scheduled to perform at Powertrip festival on October 7, 2023.
