Nikki Blakk Answers Ten Questions With Ken Anthony: ‘I’m the Person I Wanted to Be as a Kid’

Are you curious how Blakk is back on 107.7 the Bone? Well, look no further because all your questions have been answered during her conversation with Ken Anthony!

Starting from the beginning, when asked what got her into radio Nikki Blakk kept it short and sweet saying, “I wanted to go to lots of concerts, I did not want to get up early.”

She began interning at the Bone before hopping around to a few different stations and gaining experience through different positions. Discussing her return to 107.7 the Bone, Blakk explained,

“I saw the changes that had been made and that Chasta got hired as PD. I was amazed and thrilled and immediately texted her…Then I saw Baby Huey [was] promoted to APD. Again, thrilled, congratulated him and was still kind of from a distance, you know, knowing how busy they were like we never got together for a lunch or a chat or anything.”

After spending time on tour with Jackson Browne, Blakk thought her time on the radio may be over. Thankfully, for the Bonehead family, that wasn’t the case and now is on 107.7 the Bone weekdays from 2 pm to 7 pm!

“15 years ago when I was on afternoons on the Bone before, I literally said to my friends and family, ‘I am the person I wanted to be when I was growing up’!” Blakk continued, “That’s it. That’s exactly who I am. I’m the person I wanted to be as a kid.”
