Danny Carey Reveals the Hardest Tool Songs to Play Live

Any musician can tell you that Tool’s music is challenging to play. But which songs are the hardest to pull off live?

Drummer Danny Carey named his three toughest songs in an interview: “The Grudge”, “Invincible”, and “7empest”.

“The Grudge”, in particular, can be downright painful to play: “If we’re not in tour shape my hands almost cramp up because of all the Swiss Triplets. It’s just a real physical song overall”.

Tool will launch a North American tour this fall.

The band shared that it will add six weeks of touring on top of its already-announced concert schedule. These new dates will see Tool play through in Canada for the first time since 2019.

Bay Area fans can watch Tool perform at the Aftershock Festival at Discovery Park in Sacramento on Friday, October 6th, 2023.

Guns N’ Roses, Queens Of The Stone Age, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Godsmack, Pantera, Incubus, Limp Bizkit, Megadeth, Rancid, Turnstile, 311, and more will join Tool and perform at Aftershock from October 5th to 8th 2023.
