Foo Fighters Cover Michael Bublé, but Dave Grohl Changes Lyrics

Fan footage of the Foo Fighters covering Michael Bublé’s “Haven’t Met You Yet” is making the rounds.

The band briefly broke into the 2010 tune at a recent show, with frontman Dave Grohl making up his own words.

Grohl can be seen singing, “I don’t know the f**king words/ I don’t know this song/ You might know it/ But I f**king don’t/ I was supposed to practice it/ But I f**king don’t care.’

Grohl then tells the audience they’re only doing the song to introduce the audience to their new drummer Josh Freese. Freese was announced as the band’s new live drummer in May, taking over for the late Taylor Hawkins who died unexpectedly in March.

The band has been doing a medley of covers on their ongoing summer tour, which also includes Beastie Boys’ 1994 hit “Sabotage,” Devo’s “Whip It” and Nine Inch Nails’ “March of the Pigs.”

Bay Area fans can see the Foo Fighters perform with new drummer Josh Freese at Outside Lands as they headline the festival on Saturday, August 12th.
