The older we get, the more we have to take care of ourselves – something The Offspring have learned on their current tour.
In an interview, guitarist Noodles said the band is “trying to change how we do things. I’m trying to learn to tour without drinking too much, that’s a struggle. But I’m working on it, I made some headway there.”
He also says new drummer Brandon Pertzborn has “really added some energy” to the tour, which returns to the U.S. in August.
“I mean, we’re having a blast, we’ve got a new drummer with us who’s really added some energy. I don’t know how much we’re learning, we’re always kind of changing, always evolving. You know, shakeups are good,” Noodles continued.
“It’s all punk but all three bands are different,” Noodles said of the band’s upcoming tour with Simple Plan and Sum 41. “I think it’s going to be a phenomenal tour.”
Bay Area fans can see The Offspring live on August 5, 2023, at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California with Simple Plan and Sum 41.
