Wolfgang Says Van Halen Vault Releases Are Unlikely

Air Force Whistleblower Tells Congress UFOs Exist

Eddie Van Halen’s son, Wolfgang Van Halen, isn’t optimistic about releasing music from his dad’s vault.

In an interview, Wolfie left it up to Alex Van Halen, Eddie’s older brother.

He said, “As far as that, Al is certainly the decision maker in that process. I’m just kind of there to help him decide and help what he wants to go through – as sort of being the person in place of my father, in his absence. But when it comes to that, I know my dad was vocal of that in the past, he released everything he wanted to release. So, when it comes to stuff that hit the cutting room floor, that would certainly have to be a serious conversation to have – if anything is actually worth releasing.”

He ended by saying, “So, we’ll just have to see. I certainly wouldn’t hold your breath.”

Eddie Van Halen passed away in October 2020.

Although there may not be new music from Eddie, fans can hear new music from Wolfgang in the new “Barbie” movie soundtrack.

Van Halen made the announcement on Twitter writing, “My buddy Mark Ronson hit me up earlier this year needing my ‘mammoth guitar sound’ and I happily obliged. If anyone is curious about specifics, I have a lot of textural stuff throughout the film with two major spots where I do some soloing. One in particular is pretty cool because it’s the big song that Ryan Gosling sings and Slash plays on it as well!”

He also noted “a specific moment in this song that’s only in the movie where l’ve got this fun solo with some tapping and stuff.”

Barbie is in theaters now.
