Guitar goddess Nita Strauss revealed her ‘dream band’ in a recent interview with radio host Full Metal Jackie.
“I’ve been asked many, many times…If you could put together your dream band living or dead, who would be in it? And honestly, with no hesitation, I can say that my dream band is the one that I’m on the road with right now. I have the best band and crew in the world.”
That band, she points out, includes her fiance Josh Villalta on drums and best friend Katt Scarlett on keyboards. She also plays in the touring bands for Alice Cooper and pop star Demi Lovato.
Strauss released her second solo album, The Call of the Void, earlier this summer. The album is packed with guest stars like Alice Cooper, Lzzy Hale, David Draiman, and more.
Speaking of Cooper, Strauss opened up about working with him on his new album, “Road.”
“What an honor to get to make this album as a band,” she said. “It’s really cool because I’ve been working with Alice for almost a decade now, and not only did I get him to guest on my record, but then the band and myself got to really create this whole ‘Road’ record from pretty much scratch.”
“Road” comes out on August 25th.
Bay Area fans can see Strauss on tour with Mammoth WVH, fronted by Wolfgang Van Halen, at Ace of Spades in Sacramento on August 26th.
