Lou Gramm Says Foreigner’s Rock Hall Exclusion Is ‘Juvenile’

Original Foreigner singer Lou Gramm is addressing the fact that the band is not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Foreigner actually has not even been on the ballot for consideration yet.

In an interview, Gramm explained, “It’s not anything to do with our music or the amount of hits or notoriety or anything like that. It’s a personal thing that we’re not in there. It’s a personal vendetta between the gentleman who owns Rolling Stone [magazine] and [guitarist] Mick Jones.”

He went on to say, “It’s very juvenile, the whole thing, and I don’t think it’s gonna get any better. I think it’s gonna stay that way. I think we’re being made an example of.”

Gramm recalled when the band’s manager was told “It’ll be a cold day in hell before Foreigner gets in the Rock Hall of Fame.”

When asked if he thought they deserved to be there, Gramm said, “Of course I do. The original Foreigner. I put an exclamation point at the end of that.”
