Roger Waters has shared another track from his re-recorded version of “The Dark Side of the Moon.”
The 79-year-old singer shared his new version “Time”, after releasing “Money” last month.
Waters has re-recorded the entire 1973 album to celebrate its 50th anniversary, along with a new 13-minute composition.
There have been mixed reviews about Roger Waters’ decision to re-recording Dark Side Of The Moon – but one person who is supportive of the decision is one of the musicians who took part in recording the original.
Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason says he’s heard a sample of Waters’ new version of the 1973 classic – and it isn’t bad.
“He actually sent me a copy of what he was working on,” Mason says. “And I wrote to him and said, ‘Annoyingly, it’s absolutely brilliant!’ It was and is. It’s not anything that would be a spoiler for the original at all; it’s an interesting add-on to the thing.”
“The Dark Side of the Moon Redux” will be out on October 6th.
