Aerosmith is giving fans a sneak peek at its upcoming ‘Peace Out: The Farewell Tour’.
The band posted a few photos of the stage setup to social media on Monday, as well as a shot of Steven Tyler and Joe Perry rehearsing on stools.
The band announced the dates for their farewell tour called “Peace Out” with special guest The Black Crowes.
The 40-date trek, which begins on September 2nd in Philadelphia, will stop twice in the Bay Area – once at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Friday, December 1st, and again at San Jose’s SAP Center on Monday, December 4th. The farewell tour will end on January 26th in Montreal.
“We’re back in a BIGGER saddle!! 5 days till we kick off Aerosmith Peace Out the farewell tour! September 2nd we’re hitting the stage in Philly with special guests The Black Crowes.” Aerosmith wrote on Twitter, “You don’t want to miss this thing!”
Addressing the farewell tour, Guitarist Joe Perry said, “I think it’s about time. It’s kind of a chance to celebrate the 50 years we’ve been out here. You never know how much longer everybody’s going to be healthy to do this. It’s been a while since we’ve actually done a real tour. We did that run in Vegas, which was great. It was fun, but (we’re) kind of anxious to get back on the road.“
