Stern Pinball, the creators of the Foo Fighters pinball game, are sharing a behind-the-scenes video on how the machine came together.
Stern’s Foo Fighters machine is an “Epic pinball adventure featuring 15 iconic songs spanning the band’s expansive catalog.”
The machine includes hand-drawn artwork and custom animations including “Foo Fighters Saturday Morning Action Time,” a fictional TV series “Chronicling the band’s quest to save rock and roll and the world!”
“Stern’s Foo Fighters machines bring the Foo Fighters concert experience home as players are immersed in an epic pinball adventure,” the video’s description reads.
The collaboration was announced in February with a trailer featuring animated versions of the band’s members living in an old fire station. An alarm sounds and they take off in a Scooby Doo-like van to battle an alien invasion.
When Stern Pinball released the Foo Fighters pinball machines in March, they sold out in record time. One thousand limited edition machines were sold out in minutes! After selling out, Sten said they plan to produce more.
Stern Pinball has previously made machines featuring the likes of Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and the Rolling Stones.
