Lamont & Tonelli interviewed Dave Mason about starting the band Traffic at the age of 19, how he recorded songs during the coronavirus pandemic, his friendship with Jimi Hendrix, and more insights on his incredible career.

In order for everyone to “stop asking” about all of his stories, Mason wrote “Only You Know and I Know” which will be released this fall.

“Dave Mason’s reputation as a ‘quiet giant’ has long been one of music’s great mysteries. Now, one of rock’s true heroes finally shares his colorful, unique, and ultimately triumphant journey through a life in music,” reads the book description.

Bay Area fans can watch Dave Mason perform at the Montalvo Arts Center on Thursday, September 14th, and Friday, September 15th. Mason will also perform at the Uptown Theatre in Napa on Sunday, September 17th. The show begins at 7:30 pm on all three nights.
