Ozzy Osbourne simply refuses to take it easy.
With a series of health problems leaving him unable to tour, the Prince of Darkness says he’s begun work on a new album for next year.
He’s “Just starting work on it now, and [will] be recording in the early part of next year”.
Ozzy also hopes to go back on tour once the album is complete. Osbourne’s last album was 2022’s “Patient Number 9”.
In March, he opened up about the difficulties of tours, explaining, “Right now I can’t book tours because right now I don’t think I could pull them off.”
The 74-year-old singer gave a health update in the first episode of the rebooted “The Osbournes” podcast in September. Osbourne said he will undergo a fourth surgery to repair his ailing spine.
“All I know is right now, I’m in a lot of pain, I’m in a lot of discomfort,” Ozzy said. However he is still hoping to return to the stage in the future.
Osbourne recently had to drop out of the Power Trip festival due to health issues and is “heartbroken” about the decision. The Black Sabbath frontman was set to perform at the California event this October with Metallica, AC/DC, and Guns N’ Roses, but a statement in July explained that he was not ready to perform due to his health issues.
