Nita Strauss will be out of action for “the next few shows” on Alice Cooper’s current tour.
The guitarist shared on social media, “Hey everyone, I got lots of messages about my whereabouts after last night’s Alice Cooper show and unfortunately I have some bad news to share. Sadly, I will have to miss the next few shows of the tour due to illness.”
She continued, “I’m taking all the necessary things and will rejoin the tour the absolute second I’m well enough.”
Strauss added, “Alice and the boys are out there kicking ass as always, so show them lots of love if you’re going to a show this week! I’m very sorry to miss you guys out there and I will be back as soon as possible.”
Strauss released her second solo album, The Call of the Void, in July. The album is packed with guest stars like Alice Cooper, Lzzy Hale, David Draiman, and more.
Speaking of Cooper, Strauss opened up about working with him on his new album, “Road,” which was released on August 25th.
“What an honor to get to make this album as a band,” she said. “It’s really cool because I’ve been working with Alice for almost a decade now, and not only did I get him to guest on my record, but then the band and myself got to really create this whole ‘Road’ record from pretty much scratch.”
