Green Day Play ‘Secret Show’ With Some Big Surprises

Green Day played a ‘secret show’ Thursday night in Las Vegas – and boy, was it full of surprises.

First off, the band debuted their new single “The American Dream Is Killing Me” – which will be released next week.

Second, the band revealed they are planning a stadium tour in 2024 with Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and Linda Lindas. Finally, the band played the entire Dookie album.

“They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but couldn’t let this stay… get ready ya zombies!!!” Green Day shared on X.

“Viva Las Vegas. Thanks to all ya zombies who tore it up with us last night at Fremont Country Club.” Green Day tweeted, “Felt good to play Dookie and debut ‘The American Dream is Killing Me’ live (come back to hear it on Tuesday!!). Here we come When We Were Young!!!”

On Monday, Green Day shared a 12-second clip of “The American Dream Is Killing Me”, along with a zombie-themed music video. The band has since confirmed the song will be released on October 24th.

Fans can see Green Day perform at the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas from October 21st to October 22nd, 2023 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
