Paul McCartney Was ‘Amazed’ By Guns N’ Roses’ Cover Of “Live And Let Die”

Guns N’ Roses famously covered Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” on Use Your Illusion 1.  So what did Sir Paul think of the cover?

McCartney brought it up on the latest episode of his A Life in Lyrics podcast:  “I thought it was pretty good actually… I was more amazed that they would actually do it, this young American group. I was very happy that they had done it. I always like people doing my songs.“

McCartney said his children, who were school-aged at the time, would actually get into arguments with other kids who insisted that GN’R had written the song instead of their dad.
