It may be difficult to believe, but in their 60 years together, the members of The Who have released only 12 studio albums – and Roger Daltrey says one of them has been “overlooked” by critics and fans alike.

Although the 1974 album Odds & Sods was actually a compilation of previously unheard Who tracks, which was released to keep fans interested while the band worked on Quadrophenia, the frontman says he believes it contains some of The Who’s more interesting work.

“This was an album of bits and pieces that were left over from Who’s Next, and a few things from the prior recordings sessions on earlier albums,” Daltrey says. “It’s a fabulous album. I really like it, but I don’t think Odds & Sods ever achieved any commercial success. Musically, it holds together great.”
