David Lee Roth Re-Records Another Van Halen Classic

YouTube, @David Lee Roth.

David Lee Roth continues mining Van Halen’s music catalog for inspiration, releasing a solo version of the group’s classic, “Jump.”

The group’s former frontman says he recorded the track in May 2022, which is when he laid down vocals for his previously-released Van Halen covers: “Unchained,” “Everybody Wants Some!!,” “You Really Got Me,” “Dance The Night Away,” “Panama,” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love.” A total of 14 songs were recorded in just two hours, Roth claims.

There’s no word on which Van Halen cover Roth plans on releasing next.
