Geddy Lee Releases Demo Song Written About Neil Peart’s Family Tragedy

YouTube, @Geddy Lee – Topic.

Geddy Lee has released a pair of solo demos – one of which was written about a family tragedy suffered by bandmate Neil Peart.

“Gone” deals with the 1997 car accident that killed Peart’s 19-year-old daughter Selena Taylor.

It was originally recorded for Geddy’s 2000 solo album My Favorite Headache – but decided it wasn’t “appropriate” to include on the record.

“Gone” and another demo, “I Am… You Are”, were shared to YouTube this week.
