Cradle Of Filth is currently in the process of creating a follow-up to their 2021 album “Existence Is Futile,” but fans shouldn’t anticipate its release anytime soon.

In an interview with Pełna Kulturka, Cradle Of Filth frontman Dani Filth explained that scheduling conflicts and the producer’s new parenthood have contributed to the delay.

Despite starting the vocals in July, the band’s busy schedule, including summer festivals and a break for holidays, slowed down the process. Filth, who recorded for 12 weeks in L.A., revealed that the producer’s baby further delayed their return to the studio since November.

The album’s development is currently in progress, with Filth expressing excitement about its creativity.

Additionally, the much-anticipated collaboration with pop star Ed Sheeran is confirmed, with Sheeran featuring as a guest on a song in the album rather than a standalone project. Filth described the album as heavy and evolutionary, emphasizing its significance for the band, being their first with Napalm Records. While there is no rush, fans can expect the first single to drop around September or October.
