Phil Demmel Had To Keep Kerry King Project A Secret

Former Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel talked about joining Kerry King’s new band – which was a tightly-kept secret for years.

During an IG Live session, Demmel says King recruited him in summer of 2019, and had to keep it under wraps for a long time: “that was four and a half years of holding on to the secret. Some would say that it was the best worst-kept secret or the worst best-kept secret.”

King finally unveiled his band and release his first solo single, “From Hell I Rise”, last week.
