Ex-Dokken, Foreigner Bassist Writing Yoga Book

While he admits he doesn’t have enough salacious material to write an interesting tell-all autobiography, bassist Jeff Pilson says he’s working on a book nonetheless.

The former member of Dokken – who currently plays for Foreigner – says he’s writing a book about yoga. “Yoga has been a big part of me being able to accomplish what I have and continue on the road and staying sane and staying involved with the work and staying present in the moment,” Pilson says. “Which is why I do actually do a weekly virtual meditation class.”

Pilson says he discovered yoga after he hurt his back when he was 20 years old. “I started doing it, fell in love with it,” he says. “I’ve made a lifelong commitment to it, and feel that it’s been so important for keeping me sane. ‘Cause I’m a fairly neurotic individual. Yoga and meditation are really important in my life.”

Pilson hopes to release the as-yet-untitled book sometime in 2025, he says.
