Wrapping their politically-charged Make America Rage Again tour last month in Chula Vista, CA, Prophets of Rage have no plans to stop taking their rap-rock show on the road. The group, made up of Rage Against the Machine‘s Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford, along with Cypress Hill‘s B-Real and Public Enemy‘s Chuck D, won’t stop even after the ballot boxes close on November 8. They already have tour dates in Europe set for next summer.
Commerford also tells ABC Radio:
This is not a one-off thing just for the election. This is a real band that I’m very excited to be able to be in when I’m 83, you know?
He went on to say the supergroup plans to release 2 EP’s every year, with more of a focus on original songs over covers. Thier last EP The Party’s Over re-worked 4 of their collective hits and added one new track.
“Prophets of Rage”
If a 2 EP/year schedule wasn’t enough, Commerford will be working with a new band called Wakrat. They’re set to release a self-titled debut album on…when else…November 8.
