On Tuesday (July 15), the Cult announced dates and details of their upcoming 2025 North American tour, which will include the band performing a separate set as their early goth rock incarnation, Death Cult. The 12-date run features Patriarchy as support for all dates, with the tour set to begin on October 9 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and concluding on October 30 in Los Angeles, while hitting major music markets including Boston, New York City, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and San Francisco along the way. “A communal gathering of the tribes featuring sets from Death Cult and The Cult,” the band writes on Instagram. “If not now, then when?” Ticket pre-sales start on Thursday (July 17), followed by general on-sale on Friday (July 18). The Cult’s upcoming tour follows a previous performance as Death Cult in 2023, where frontman Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy revisited the band’s early phases, spanning from Southern Death Cult to Death Cult, straight through to the Cult’s initial albums, 1984’s Dreamtime and 1985’s Love.
